Cruisin!!!!

Look who is up and movin! Benny loves his push and walk toy. He takes 2 - 3 steps now on his own. he usually falls after 2, but is making it to 3 more and more often. Here is Kennedy helping him walk in circles with his walker toy. Good Stuff!! :O)

Benny had tubes put in his ears this morning. It was really fast and easy. Benny was a little crabby for a while, but was back to normal by the end of the night. Phew! I'm so glad that's over. Now maybe he can be ear infection free for a while!!!

Caged Beast

Steve and I got tired of climbing over the furniture barricade built to control this beast. And really, it wasn't keeping him in anyway. So, we went and got this gate to keep him in. I don't think he minds it too much. He doesn't get mad when we are on the other side. He just shoves his head and face into it. See, if he can't get over or around something, he puts his head down and tries to push his way through. Benny brings the term "hard headed" to whole new level already. Oh well, at least we get pictures like these out of it. ;o)

Heart Smile!

Seeing this in the morning makes my heart smile.

Happy 4th!!

Happy Fourth of July!!!!
We spent Benny's first 4th of July at a place called Rustler's Roost. It is a restaurant at the top of South Mountain. It has an awesome view and you can see firework shows all over the valley.

Uncle Phil and Auntie Erika came and spent the weekend with us. We had fun with them.

These are our friends, Richard and Tamara. They came to dinner with us. If you look closely you can see Tamara's belly. Their first baby is due on July 13th.

That strip of light behind Phil is part of the view of the valley. The whole front side of the restaurant is windows. It's a neat place.

Benny likes to sip water from a straw.

Guess who fell asleep before the fireworks.
We did go outside for a while to watch all the firework shows. But, we didn't stay too long because it was about 187 degrees outside. We were full, and sweaty and miserable. We missed the storms that we had last year. That always cools things down a bit. I hope we get some storms soon. Word is that we will be seeing 116 degrees by the end of the week. Ugh.....Why do people live here???? ;o)
