Ben had a wonderful 1st Christmas. He thought it was so much fun, except that he missed his brother and sister. He told me! :O)
We left Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon when Steve got home from work. We had a really easy and quick drive. Ben did great. He didn't need to stop at all. We did stop and wake him up to feed him when we got to Grandpa Bob's in Montrose. He ate and played for a few minutes, then he went back to sleep and slept the rest of the way to Bakersfield. What a trooper!!!
He woke up on Christmas Eve to find his Gammy and Granddad. That was so fun. But, I of course do not have any pictures of them. (I still suck at this picture thing. But, I did try to get better. ) It wasn't long until Aunt Gecky came in and took control of this baby. She loves holding him. (I don't think that he minded a bit! ) Then Benny got to open his first Christmas present from Gam and Granddad. It was this super cute little outfit. He looks so cute in it. :O)
A little later in the day, Aunt Rachie and Leah came over. This was the first time Ben got to meet them. And Aunt Gecky had to give him up to Aunt Rachie. But Leah got to hold him for a minute, too. And that was long enough for her! :O) How cute is she??
After taking many pictures of her toy horse, I finally talked Leah into taking a picture of herself. She is so funny.
Later that night, we all went to Aunt Gecky's to celebrate Christmas Eve. We had tamales and tacos for dinner. This was the night that Benny finally met ALL of his Oakley aunts and uncles. Everyone was there. It was great. One thing that I noticed, is that every one of the Oakley boys keep getting better looking! It has been quite a while since I have seen them. Man, are they a handsome bunch!! Anyway, I did not get any pictures of that night because I could not find my camera. I was so mad at myself. There were so many Kodak moments. I tried to make up for it on Christmas day, but I still missed some people. Ugggg...
